as of today, 15 months old, ookala can:
- put on her shoes (baby crocs)
- walk up and down stairs holding papa’s finger
- walk in the park holding papa and mama’s fingers
- understand and make jokes
- eat lamb, watermelon and cucumber salad
- say words like “nyam nyam”, “moone”, “nice”, “hot”, named all her dolls “Maya”, “mermaid”, “mama’s”, “potte”, “spade” and “spat’” (sleep).

i can almost hear the chorus of angels singing “aaaaaaaaa” in the background.

for a few days, ookala keeps repeating the word “måne”- norwegian for “moon”, in a very upset tone of voice.
so if something happens to the moon soon, you heard it here first.
