Nini smiles at me now! She looks at me and her eyes get all shiney and then she grins ear to ear it’s amazing and makes me feel sooo happy. I’m her mommy and she recognizes me! Yay! Of course daddy had to get in on it and she smiled at him too, but it took her a while ha ha  ;)

Nini had her 5 1/2 week check up with Felice the midwife today and she was the best baby! Didn’t cry at all this time, just cooed and stretched and looked at Felice. Of course she didn’t get any pokings with needles today either - that will be starting soon in about two weeks with vaccinations…! Eeeuuww :(

Took Nini to punk rock flea market the other day and she met Xtina - and everyone wanted to hold her - she was the best baby. Daddy walked around with her proudly. We have some pictures, but still need to download them - coming soon!

bringing a child to this world is very hard and dangerous job. after seeing it up close, my hat goes off to all women of the world; and especially to one in particular.
